One more Johnny Clegg video, and then I'll take a break. I promise. My eldest recommended that I put this one up on the blog. (Thanks, honey!) Check out the special guest ...

Asimbonanga is my absolute favorite Johnny Clegg song, but I hadn't seen this video of it. Thanks for putting it on your blog.
LOVE his music! Heard recently he is slowing down with the dancing in live performances, says he is getting too old..... (Johnny, I mean, how cool is Madiba still giving it a shot in his late 80s, with feet ruined by hard labour in prison?)
Proud to be a public school teacher for 26 years, I see teaching as a radical act. Practitioner of Neo-schoolmarmism. School Library Media Specialist. I am a convinced Quaker, born again agnostic, mother of 3 daughters, passionate about issues of peace and social justice. My mom was a "red diaper baby", my dad was a conscientious objector during WW2, and I grew up in the thick of anti-war protests in Madison, Wisconsin in the sixties. Not a Republican bone in my body and not many Democratic ones either.

And to watch Nelson Mandela dance, well ... that's the icing on the cake.
Have you ever heard this song by Joan Baez?
Beautiful!

Wow. Didn't know that she had recorded it. I'll look it up.

Sue -- I wondered if you were not a fan ...
QD -- If I become a Johnny Clegg fan site I might bore my loyal readers. I'll pace myself.
Anonymous Beth -- Have a great start to your school year tomorrow.
(You too QD.)
Haha. I didn't think you'd actually listen to my suggestion. Glad you liked it!
Happy Daughter -- but that other one you sent me? Way too weird. Reminds me of Japanese potty training.
