Oh, yeah ... and tomatoes.
Yesterday the illustrious blogger
PoodleDoc and I met, in my kitchen of all places, to can tomatoes.

It was one of the hottest days we've had all summer. Just perfect for boiling gallons of water on your stove ...

Mr. Ether wanted to help. Ed -- Put. down. the. drill. and. step. away. from. the. tomatoes ...

I caught one! I caught one!

Some of the finished product. Aren't they pretty?
Next on the docket: freezing sweet corn.

Sounds like fun. I love tomatoes. Esp with vinegar and a little salt.. LOL.. I know I am weird.
Not weird at all, Tweetey. Delicious. With a little olive oil. I've been feasting on it all week.
Wow! A meet-up! Tomatoes! I am envious!
We had too much rain and our tomato crop was small this year. What does a girl have to do to get a jar of those?
I will drive and meet you half way!!!
Darling, I'd be happy to share! Email me your address, REALLY! I really am going to come to Rochester this year.
I was a little disingenuous about the blogger meet-up in that Poodle Doc and I go way back, so we'd be canning tomatoes even if we didn't both blog. But I thought it was funny. I mean, jeez, Fran, you don't get to have ALL the blogger meet-ups.

My inner Republican says "Please! I want to drill. Offshore, ANWR, tomatoes, anything, anywhere!"
Men and their power tools. Sheesh.
Well, we can always go back to my favorite headline ever from the Onion: "Jenna Bush's Wetlands Now Open for Public Drilling."
What about drilling in Sarah Palin's wildlife refuge, eh?
It reminds me of someone I once knew who got lice in ... never mind.
Oh yes I do- all blogger meet ups is one of my life goals. hah!
I'd never make it... too busy blogging!!
I will email you... My eyes are trained on the horizon towards Rochester!
